Disclaimers

Alden is not a law firm. Nothing on this site or in a report is legal advice, a coverage opinion, or a statement that an insurer must pay.

A total-loss report is an opinion of actual cash value from a file review. A diminished-value report is an opinion of the value a repaired car lost. Neither is a finding that another driver was at fault, a statement that a policy covers the loss, or a statement that a particular state requires an insurer to use a particular formula or tax rate.

The reports are opinions of value from Alden Vehicle Reports. The demand letter is written in your name and sent by you, with your Alden Vehicle Report attached. The reports do not fill a licensed motor-vehicle damage appraiser role, including under North Carolina's statutory appraisal path.

State rules differ. Georgia is unusual on first-party claims. Michigan limits many vehicle-damage claims through the mini-tort. Some states' limitation periods are easy to misread because a statute was amended. The state pages cite what we were willing to cite and mark the rest. They are not a legal opinion about your crash.

Black Book and Carfax are trademarks of their respective owners. Alden is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those companies.

The free estimate is an illustration from age, mileage, and repair size. It is not a valuation-guide value and it is not a report.
